CINTIA Kick-off Conference: “Living with risks during the Great Recession. Longevity and generations”
On , December 13th, 2013 the new research centre CINTIA, Interuniversity Centre Netspar_Italy ig going to be launched at the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
The kick-off conference “Living with risks during the Great Recession. Longevity and generations” will gather prominent Italian and international scholars, representatives of the institutions and the private sector.
The conference will start on Friday December 13, at 9.30am with a welcome address by Prof. Carlo Carraro (Rector of Ca'Foscari University of Venice) followed by opening remarks from Prof. Agar Brugiavini (Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and Venice International University), prof. Frank A. van der Duyn Schouten (Rector, VU University Amsterdam) and Lorenzo Savorelli (Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A.).
The key-note speech delivered by prof. Robert Holzmann (University of Malaya and University of New South Wales) will focus on Addressing longevity through private annuities: Issues and options.
The conference will continue with a Session on The Netspar Model and a session focused on Risk Sharing Across Generations.
On Saturday, December 14 the conference will end with the Business Panel: What can research do for a new social insurance model? chaired by Christopher Emsden (Wall Street Journal).
